Christopher J. Davidson is the Founder and Principal at Proxy Financial. In this role he is responsible for the overall direction and administration of programs, products, and services provided by Proxy Financial including the organizations’ financial performance, business development, and risk management.
Prior to becoming the Principal of Proxy Financial, CJ held various high-level positions at different investment firms. He started his career with GlobeOps as an associate in derivatives trade support desk for hedge funds OTC valuations. CJ was then recruited by MetLife to lead and launch their pilot program “team services” where he was responsible to provide comprehensive services to clients, create the best practices, and rule book of teaming for financial services. He was then asked to run the investment desk as the director of Investment services for California and Hawaii. In this role he helped management develop its companies’ investment platform for seven offices and over 85 advisors. He left MetLife after their acquisition and joined Lincoln Financial Advisors as a Financial Advisor. In 2017 CJ decided to launch Proxy Financial. What was originally a company to assist real estate developers and foreign investors became three different firms: Proxy Tech, Proxy Capital, and Proxy Wealth. Although CJ shifted his focus and efforts to develop Proxy Wealth, he is still the principal key decision maker that shapes and directs the overall development of Proxy Financial.
CJ attended San Diego State University and received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Finance and holds his FINRA series 7, series 63, series 6 and series 65 licenses.
Today CJ resides in California with his girlfriend and three dogs, two Pomeranians and one Pompski. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, yoga, hiking, and meditation. He travels as much as he can and keeps his family and friends close.
Bryan Caulkins is the co-founder and Chief Compliance Officer of Proxy Financial. In this role he oversees and ensures the organization complies with outside regulatory requirements as well as its internal ethics and conduct codes.
Bryan brings a very diverse experience having worked in different countries including Brazil, Chile, and Belgium. He is truly passionate about working with different cultures around the world. Bryan started his career in Finance on Wall Street at Thomson Reuters, working in customer administration, progressing to the Investor Relations advisory department. He moved on to work at a small Investor Relations boutique focused on Latin American listings. He then started his own Consulting Firm overseas in Chile, while he studied there. He then went on to do an MBA and returned to the US in 2017. Bryan took a position at The Principal Financial Group as a Registered Representative. He left Principal to found Proxy in 2018 to pursue his dream to expand his international footprint, where he currently leads Proxy’s international strategy and development team.
Bryan holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Universidade de Sao Paulo, a Masters Degree in Derivatives Markets from the Universdad Adolfo Ibanez, in Chile, and a MBA from Vlerick Business School, from Belgium. He currently holds his Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses and his Life and Variable Annuity Licenses (Florida). He currently volunteers as the Director of the Central Florida Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce.
Bryan was born in Washington DC, but was raised in Ribeirao Preto, a three hour of drive from Sao Paulo, Brazil. He currently resides in Orlando, Florida, with his wife and three kids. He enjoys spending time with his family, eating Brazilian churrasco (barbeque), and traveling to meet clients in Latin America.
Mario Adib is the Business Development Manager- Brazil for Proxy financial. In this role Mario identifies business opportunities, building and maintaining successful relationships with prospects and existing clients, collaborating with executives on business strategy to determine objectives, evaluating current business performance and maximizing business reach and potential.
Mario brings an extensive background in business development having worked in the industry for more than 15 years. Telecommunications segment as a Marketing Analyst. He moved on to work at Real Estate Market where he started as a Marketing Analyst and moved to Commercial Analyst. He then went on to work at Alphaville Urbanismo as a Commericial coordinator. After that Mario spent the next years as an Investment Immigration Manager (Eb5) at Bai Capital where he specialized in advising investors seeking the Green Card through the Eb-5 program or diversification of investment portfolio. Mario has worked in Marketing, Commercial and Business Development for over a decade. Mario has been working with international and immigration investment for over half a decade. As the Commercial Director | Strategy and Business Development, he is responsible for sales in Brazil, he analyzes projects, develops strategic relationships and deals with potential investors. Mario’s experience with Investment and investor visas adds value to the Brazilian market and to potential investors seeking investment in the United States and Brazil. Mario is an expert in advising investors seeking international investment (diversification) through wealth management.
Mario graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, a post-graduate degree in business management with an emphasis in marketing and studied investment planning, portfolio management, and investment risk.
Today Mario resides in Sao Paulo Brazil.
Marc DeCuffa is an Investment Professional with over 15 years of industry experience. Marc currently serves as the Director of Wealth Management where he partners with the team to provide investment and asset management direction for Proxy and their clients. His approach to financial planning is an authentic fiduciary approach. He helps educate and properly position Proxy’s clients by bringing a deep understanding of investment strategies, portfolio, and relationship management.
Throughout Marcs career he has served in various roles for financial institutions including: Merrill Lynch, Ameriprise Financial Services, and J.P Morgan where he served as VP of investments. Marc’s experiences at these institutions had lead him to believe that there has to be a better way to serve clients in the industry he is so passionate about. Marc’s search for such a place had lead him to Proxy where he joined a like-minded team that shared the same vision.
Marc attended the University of Albany where he received his Bachelors in Marketing and currently holds his series 7, 63, 65 licenses.
Marc still resides in New York with his wife and two daughters.
Tulio Ribeiro is a Financial Advisor at Proxy Financial. In this role Tulio is responsible to asses the financial needs of individuals and help with decisions on investments, tax strategies, financial planning. Tulio also helps clients plan for short and long term goals, such as saving for retirement or a financial pursuit.
Tulio is a financial professional with over a decade of finance experience. He started his career in banking holding various roles at Wells Fargo from Branch Manager to AVP of Premier Banking. In these roles Tulio was responsible to oversee financial reporting, hire and train staff, and grow branch revenue. As a Premier Banker Tulio was responsible for servicing and building relationships with affluent customers, working proactively to engage customers to understand what is most important to them and help with their complex needs. Tulio brings an extensive background in managing client relationships and helping clients achieve their financial goals
Tulio has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Anhanguera Educacional and holds his series 6, 63, 65, and 7 licenses as well as his Life and Health Insurance Licenses from the State of Florida.
Tulio is married with 1 daughter, enjoys playing soccer, watching movies, and spending time with his family. He currently resides in Miami Florida.
Nayah McMillan is our Business Development Lead. In this role Nayah is responsible for generating sales, managing partner channels, and connecting customers with advisors.
Nayah began her career in the Commercial and Property Insurance industry as an Executive Assistant where she was responsible for overseeing and transmitting internal and external communications. She also managed the organizations financial obligations such as payments, invoices, and claims. Nayah’s professional endeavors lead her to change forces and joined the Solar Industry. Here she started as an Administrative Assistant and was quickly promoted to Operations Manager. As an Operations Manager she was responsible for developing new business, contract negotiations, scheduling project manager tasks, running quality assurance for all new materials, overseeing various solar sites from start to finish. Now back at her true passion of Finance. She has the determination to help her clients reach their goals to financial freedom.
Nayah holds her Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Brokers license in the state of New York as well as her Notary Public seal.
Today Nayah resides in Brooklyn, New York. On her spare time she enjoys painting and family game nights with her 7 year old son. She values the relationships and people who have come into her life. She isn’t afraid of adversity and loves to build connections with people from all walks of life. One of her mottos are “always look for the good” and her favorite quote “if you surrender to air, you can ride it” – Toni Morrison.
Lukas DeWitt is our Business Development Lead. In this role Lukas is responsible for generating sales, managing partner channels, and connecting customers with advisors.
Lukas enrolled in the Army at the age of 19 and served for 6 years as an engineer which taught him leadership and determination. Shortly after, he landed a job in Industrial Construction building well-known infrastructures like LaGuardia Airport and several others over the course of 3 years. After years of building elaborate skyscrapers, he decided to become an entrepreneur by diving into real estate to become a broker. Then he decided to combine his real estate skills with the financial industry joining Proxy Financial.
Lukas currently holds his Real Estate salesperson license for the state of New York.
In his spare time, Lukas revisits his childhood by golfing, the game his father taught him when he was seven years old. He also enjoys spending his morning running to start off his busy work day and hiking during his leisure time.
Aline Maciel Eskandari, is a Business Development Manager at Proxy Wealth. Aline is responsible for the financial needs of individuals, client relationships, global wealth, and building strategic partnerships.
Aline started her professional career at ABN Amro Bank in Fortaleza, Brazil where she worked as the director assistant. In this role she was responsible for leasing agreements, contracts, and account management. She then moved to Utah to pursue her MBA with a focus in Finance. Coming out of her MBA, she engaged client acquisitions for a wealth management firm of Northwest Mutual. This was followed by a position at Goldman Sachs where Aline’s work ethic and enthusiasm for numbers led her to work within two teams simultaneously at the Tax Operations department. Aline found herself leaving Goldman Sachs for her first job in the public sector as Assistant Director of Development for the City of Palo Alto. Aline has always excelled at precision and accuracy with numbers, cost analysis, reconciliation and compliance. Following her move to Charleston, SC she was the Business Controller for Positively People. Her ability to communicate openly, adapt to changing needs and prioritize multiple high-level tasks has made her sought after in each stage of her career.
Aline graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration in Fortaleza, Brazil and a MBA in Finance from the University of Utah, graduating with honors.
Aline currently resides in Mount Pleasant, SC with her husband and her daughter. She enjoys weight-training and eating healthy, while instilling goodness in her daughter through actions. Aline is passionate and energetic in life and work. She thrives on new opportunities and does not shy away from challenges
Moumen Badawi is a Financial Analyst and a CFA in Training. His responsibilities span investment strategies and portfolio analysis to meet our clients’ objectives.
Moumen held positions at the Department of Commerce, Ultimate Management Consulting, and Shawli Co. being tasked with economic and market research. He joins us with a keen eye for details and eagerness to provide the best value with a belt of various skills. His experience roams around DC, Boston, Orlando, Cairo, Dubai, and Jeddah. With a global mindset, his role at Proxy is valuable to enable further investment opportunities and market knowledge.
He is a recent Mater’s Graduate from Hult International Business School in Boston, a degree in International Business – focusing on Strategy. From the University of Central Florida, his Bachelors of Science is in Political Science with focus on Political Economy and Trade. He is currently pursuing his CFA Level 1, CAIA Foundation, and PMI CAPM certifications.
He is interested in astrophysics, a fiend for luxury watches, a cars enthusiast, and follows Formula one eagerly.
Thet is a Financial Advisor and Alternative Investment Specialist at Proxy Financial.
Thet brings to Proxy over 20 years’ financial industry experience. Prior to joining Proxy, Thet served as a Wealth Management Advisor at Northwestern Mutual. Thet also has frontier market experience as Head of Sales and Performance at Yoma Bank, Yangon, Myanmar, where she was responsible for implementing sales strategies across all business units; she also served on Yoma Bank’s Junior Credit Committee. Additionally, Thet spent over 16 years at Charles Schwab & Co., where she managed the Alternative Investment OneSource® Platform, conducted due diligence reviews on potential fund partners, and helped high net worth clients in alternative investment asset allocation and portfolio management.
Thet received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from Institute of Economics, Yangon, Myanmar, an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from University of Oxford, U.K., and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Hawaii Pacific University. Thet has held a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation (CAIA®) since 2007, and holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 63, & 65.
A longtime resident of California and San Francisco Bay Area. Thet currently resides in Burlingame with her husband and daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys golf, hiking, watching movies and traveling with her family.
Jonny Vergara is our Digital Strategist in this role Jonny is responsible for the direction of the Proxy brand, integrating digital assets, leading digital activation projects and quantitatively modeling the efficiency and effectiveness of our digital ecosystem.
Jonny started his career in banking as a part time teller while attending college full time. He quickly worked his way into a Senior Management role with the bank where he was responsible for the overall development of the retail and commercial market. After 7 years in management he took a job as a Financial Consultant at KeyBank where he managed a large client portfolio giving financial advice and products. Jonny then went on to be a Banking Officer at Bank of The West where he was responsible for driving financial performance for the overall market he served.
Jonny attended Seward County Community College majoring in Computer Information Systems and Fort Hays State University majoring in Finance with an emphasis in Banking.
Jonny currently resides in Liberal KS, enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and family, watching sports, and playing video games with his friends.
James joins Proxy as the Business Operations Specialist.
James has 13 years of financial industry experience, almost all of which spent with UBS Financial Services, Wealth Management division, working in the Rockefeller Center NYC office. There he worked as investment analyst helping The Poppo Group manage over $1 Billion of clients assets. James has an intimate knowledge of what’s involved in the advisor/client relationship. He comes with experience servicing Institutional clients, Trusts & Estates, Small Businesses, Ultra High Net Worth individuals, Foundations, Endowments and Corporate Retirement Plans. James also brings a deep understanding of investment product knowledge, portfolio construction, risk analytics, client performance reporting, as well as a deep understanding of the capital markets.
James currently resides in Astoria, Queens and is originally from Staten Island, NY. James graduated with honors from the University at Albany with bachelors degrees in Business Administration & Psychology, and is an active member of the schools’ alumni network. James enjoys playing competitive basketball & also coaches at his HS alma mater. After leaving UBS James was fortunate to spend 2+ years traveling the world, developing a truly global perspective for an original New Yorker.
Alessandra Jardim, our Business Development Lead. In this role Alessandra is responsible for generating potential leads, soliciting potential customers, facilitating sales, and connecting customers with advisors.
Born in Brazil, Alessandra has had the opportunity to travel and live in different countries such as Australia, Canada, England, Switzerland, Portugal, France, Italy, Argentina, Peru and Bolivia and chose Florida, in the USA, as her preferred place to be.
Her wide experience as an entrepreneur having her own business for 20 years in Brazil lead her to invest and become a home owner in the Florida real estate market.
Afterwards, she pursued her Real Estate and Financial Consultant licenses. Now Alessandra is able to help families and individuals in selling, buying, renting or relocating to Florida throughout the world and planning their financial lives.
Oleg Zviagin is a Senior Financial Planner helping with the financial needs of individuals, families, and small businesses. Oleg specializes in complex financial planning strategies including multi-generational planning, trusts & estate, employee stock options/restricted stock, insurance, college, and retirement planning. He uses a holistic approach to financial planning by prioritizing a client’s real time goals, concerns, and financial experiences in order to better understand their needs and limitations in building out a complete and all-inclusive financial picture.
Oleg has spent 9 years working with high-net worth individuals across various RIA firms. He started his career with Circle Advisors as an Administrative Assistant but was shortly promoted to the Director of Business Development role where he was responsible for managing various projects for the firm, building leads, planning/analyzing the firms accounts, as well as doing some back-end client analytics. He later joined FCE Group with a para-planning focus, where he supported 6 Senior Advisors and their entire books of business. This role later evolved into a full client facing hybrid Associate Wealth Advisor and Planner role. When FCE Group was acquired by CAPTRUST, Oleg was already the lead on many client relationships while still supporting one of the 3 partners of the firm. Oleg’s passion for helping clients led him to seek out a place where he can have more autonomy and impact, which led him to our team at Proxy!
Oleg currently holds his Series 65 and is a CFP candidate.
Outside of work, Oleg is an aspiring author, literature junkie, and history nut. In his free time he enjoys flexing his new found culinary talents as well as rooting for the New York Islanders and the Seattle Seahawks. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with his girlfriend.
Josh R. Elstein serves as the Director of New Business at Proxy Strategic Partners. In his role as Director, Josh is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations. Instilled with a strong sense of sales, service, and problem-solving skills, Josh effectively implements these integral assets in his role as Director of New Business. Josh is known to break down barriers in the brokerage sectors and not only meet, but exceed the expectations and end goals set before him.
Josh is an ambitious and affable real estate professional, with over a decade of experience. His defining qualities of dedication and determination have distinguished him as a reputable force to be reckoned with in the real estate industry. In his most recent position of Developer and Investor, Josh lent expertise to other investors, and served as Special Advisor on select projects and for non-profit organizations.
Prior to this, Josh held a leadership role at ASH NYC (ASH), where he specialized in both asset management and acquisition. Josh created critical structural and operational standardization to daily business practices, while overseeing all property operations, financial analysis, and all other aspects of acquiring, refinancing, and selling assets. Over the course of his 9-year tenure with ASH, Josh increased revenue growth for boutique hotels, commercial and residential properties New York, Rhode Island, Detroit, and Baltimore.
It’s this solid foundation of commitment, coupled with his genuine care for his clients and their unique concerns that have catapulted Josh to the top of his field, leading him to cultivate an impressive rolodex of repeat clients, investors, contractors, lenders, and brokers.
Prior to transitioning into real estate, Josh owned and operated two successful restaurants and a catering company in Westchester County, New York, where he was born and raised.
Josh received classical training at the Culinary Institute of America and the New York Real Estate Institute and currently holds a Real Estate Brokers License. He currently resides in New York City with his wife, daughter and two puppies. He enjoys traveling and photography in his spare time.
